Well, Hello Stranger ... Meet Still House NYC on this Favorite Find Friday

The twists and turns, the ups and downs of life, well, as I'm sure you know, can take us in a variety of directions ... some you plan, some you don't.  Sometimes our attention gets diverted and activities we enjoy, such as blogging, simply fall to the bottom of the list.

The past year and a half has provided a variety of new chapters and I'm excited to be back to the blog, back to giving insight into the interior design world.  So on that note, on with the show and back to Favorite Find Friday ...

Still House, a boutique in Manhattan's East Village, is owned and operated by Urte Tylaite and holds the premise of thoughtful and minimal design as a means of encouraging us to "be more perceptive of the qualities in things around us that often go unnoticed".  Products range from home goods, to jewelry, to stationary with a focus on artisans from New York, Scandinavia and Japan.

I came across this vendor in a recent issue of House Beautiful magazine.  As I was looking for accessories for a client on the Upper West Side, the handblown vases from Brooklyn based studio Ciovere caught my eye ...

The subtle hues of gray and purple are in line with our palette and with a price point of under $300 per vase, it is budget friendly as well.

Enjoy the weekend!
