Going Industrial

In last month's issue of House and Garden magazine, UK edition, there was a phenomenal project designed by architect Fiona McLean.   What I loved the most were the great industrial lights used over the dining table ...

If you're as big a fan as I am, you'll be happy to have the vendor information! These industrial lights are designed by Cecilie Manz as part of her Caravaggio series.  Purchasing available through Funktionalley.

Iberica London

Now we all know how much I love Barrafina, but interior design is going to sway me away to Iberica in London's Canary Wharf.  Red leather seating, painted floor tiles and a newspaper inspired wall-covering are sure to provide ample conversation!

While attending the Winter Fair in Battersea the other week, I stopped in at Poilane Bakery just off Sloane Square.  Besides being a delicious adventure, it was a great place for my designer eyes to take a break.  When you're in the area, be sure to stop by!

Can One Be In Love with a Handrail?

As Valentine's Day draws near, I must share with you a handrail I discovered while on the website for London based designer Janine Stone.

As you know, I love anything black and gold and the Viennese twist to the design is amazing!  I also love the use of the dark wood on the tread and riser part of the stair case ...love, love, love!

Herend, the fine Hungarian porcelain company established in 1826, has had a long history of royal patrons, including members of the Hapsburg Dynasty and England's Queen Victoria.  They are light, perfectly balanced pieces of porcelain and although the handles are small, they fit perfectly.  As it becomes tea time here in London, enjoy a few of my favorite patterns!

In The Round

I love convex mirrors... I think they are a great shape to put above a fireplace because of the way the round intermixes with the rectangular shape of the mantle.  Reflecting Design out of London is a great source!  Enjoy a few of my favorite picks!
