Winter Blooms

We're well into winter here in New York City and it's always after Christmas that I long for the warm days of summer.

I think this week, I'm going to share some of my "visual" summer ...a few things to help us all hang on until sunnier days arrive!

What better way to start than with beautiful blooms made of porcelain!

We can thank Madame de Pompadour for this lovely tradition as she would fill her conservatory with porcelain blossoms during the winter months.

These lovely blossoms are just a phone call away as Vladimir Kanevsky, who immigrated from the Soviet Union in 1989, has quite the artistry within his New York Studio...

Lovely indeed!
